Welcome to FásCliste — an AI-powered study platform built specifically for Irish Leaving Certificate students. These Terms of Service ("Terms") apply to your use of the FásCliste website and platform ("Service"), operated by FásCliste ("we", "us", or "our").
By creating an account or using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
FásCliste is an independent study aid. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the State Examinations Commission (SEC) or the Department of Education.
To use FásCliste, you must be at least 16 years old. If you are under 16, you may only use the Service with the explicit consent of a parent or legal guardian, who must also accept these Terms on your behalf.

We reserve the right to suspend or delete accounts that violate these Terms.
FásCliste offers a free plan (no payment required), with optional paid subscription tiers for AI-powered features. Prices are displayed in euros (€) and include applicable VAT.
Paid subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe. By providing payment details, you authorise us to charge your chosen payment method on a recurring monthly basis until you cancel.
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you will retain access until then. We do not offer refunds for partial months, except where required by Irish consumer law.
We reserve the right to change subscription prices with at least 30 days' notice. Continued use of the Service after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new price.
FásCliste is a personal study tool. You agree not to:
Misuse of the AI assistant — for example, attempting to generate harmful content or circumvent its safeguards — is prohibited and may result in immediate account suspension.
All content on FásCliste — including study notes, question banks, feedback templates, software code, and visual design — is owned by or licensed to FásCliste and is protected by Irish and EU intellectual property law.
Your subscription grants you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the Service for your own study. You may not copy, reproduce, publish, or commercially exploit any part of the platform without our written permission.
Content you submit (such as practice answers) remains yours. By submitting it, you grant us a limited licence to process it in order to provide the Service (e.g., to generate AI feedback).
FásCliste uses AI technology to generate study content, answer summaries, and feedback. While we work hard to ensure accuracy and relevance, AI-generated content may occasionally contain errors, outdated information, or simplified explanations.
AI feedback is a study aid — it is not a substitute for teacher guidance or official marking. You should not rely solely on AI feedback when preparing for your exams. Always cross-reference with your teacher, textbook, and the official SEC marking schemes where available.
FásCliste is not responsible for any exam outcome based on use of the platform.
Your privacy matters to us. Our Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights under GDPR. By using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read and understood our Privacy Policy.
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or always available.
To the fullest extent permitted by Irish law, FásCliste shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of the Service — including, without limitation, any impact on your exam results.
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability for fraud, death, or personal injury caused by our negligence, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Ireland. Any disputes relating to these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts.
If you are a consumer in the European Union, you also benefit from any mandatory protections afforded by the law of the country in which you are resident.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will notify you by email or by displaying a notice on the platform at least 14 days before the changes take effect.
Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms. If you do not agree, you should cancel your account before the changes apply.
